NQE was engaged to certify the 10 year major inspection for a Terex Franna mobile crane.

To achieve compliance with AS 2550, a major inspection must be completed on all mobile cranes. This inspection must be certified by a registered professional engineer (RPEQ). NQE wrote a machine specific process detailing every step of the inspection including: Non-Destructive Testing requirements, boom straightness limits and load test procedures.

After witnessing the load test and ensuring all specified works had been completed, NQE was able to issue a certificate of inspection and testing, guaranteeing compliance with AS 2250.

NQE has over 15 years experience in the inspection and operation of cranes. We have experience with all types of plant including mobile cranes, gantry cranes, vehicle hoists, tower cranes and container cranes to name a few. As registered professional engineers (RPEQ), we can perform periodic third-party inspections and certify major inspections, both critical to keeping your crane compliant with AS 2550.
