NQE has recently inspected and re-certified a Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) after a vehicle roll-over.
After a vehicle roll over or collision, ROPS should be inspected by a competent person to ensure the system has not been damaged. Damage may not be visible to the naked eye, therefore it is important to conduct Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) of all steel members and welds.
NQE travelled to the client’s workshop where dimensional conformity measurements were taken and NDE was conducted. A certificate of design compliance was issued to the operator, ensuring the ROPS could be safely returned to service.
